Vote YES for the upcoming, Grangeville Idaho, school Levy!

No one likes to pay more taxes, and with the increased cost of everything, it gets even more challenging.  I wish the state of Idaho had a different funding model for public schools, but this is the one we are faced with, no matter which community we live in.  All small communities in the state of Idaho are faced with relying on a levy to fund a portion of their school, so we shouldn’t feel victimized in Grangeville Idaho.I grew up in a small town in rural Montana.  Do I feel that I received a good education? Absolutely.  How did that happen?  I think back to all of the community members in my hometown who rallied together to support our

An extrordinary addition to the community, Mr. Jerime Zimmerman

Some know him as “ coach”, others know him as “boss”, but here at Camas Prairie we know him as “neighbor”. Mr. Jerime Zimmerman has lived in Grangeville for 4 short years, and in these few years he has already made a tremendous impact on our community. As the head softball coach and an assistant football coach for Grangeville High School Mr. Zimmerman spends most of his free time in the field preparing for next week’s game. As though that isn’t enough, Jerime is also a Grangeville Border Days board member, and a generous supporter of academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities within the school and community. In 2018 the Zimmerman family decided to pack up their home in Jackson, California

Life On The Camas Prairie

To the average person Grangeville is just another small town in Idaho, but to Eric Forsmann it’s the place he calls home and where he has built his life. His favorite part of the Camas Prairie is how diverse it is. Which is understandable with such a diverse person as Forsmann. He is a farmer, collector, avid volunteer, local business owner and above all a family man.   One of Erics favorite parts of owning Stuivenga Vessey is how it has contributed to his already established legacy of helping the community. Through Stuivenga Vessey he sponsors all Bulldog sports activities, and contributes to the private schools on the prairie as well. Eric and Joyce try to attend all of the

COVID-19 and PATIENT CARE

The exponential growth of COVID-19 poses a serious potential crisis. At Camas Prairie Eye Clinic, we’re contributing in an all-out effort to reduce the spread of this infection by flattening the growth curve. We believe social distancing is the key — and the sooner, the better. With this in mind, we have decided to CLOSE our clinic for routine eye care and public traffic until MARCH 30TH. At that time, we will reassess the possibility of scheduling patients with social distancing on asymptomatic, low-risk patients. The clinic will be OPEN 9:00 AM – NOON to pick up glasses, contacts, and for general phone call questions ONLY. Our doors will be locked. Please call the clinic 208.983.3732 and we will assist
